Professional Experience:
  Joan is Vice President for New England for DCS Politics, a
  Washington-based firm that offers a full range of services,
  including cutting edge technology services and solutions to
  a wide variety of clients including political campaigns, non-
  profits, advocacy and educational groups.

  She has been intimately involved in local and statewide
  politics and non-profit work in both Massachusetts and
  Rhode Island for more than 25 years. She began her
  career in state and local government, first working for
  Boston Mayor Kevin White in City Hall, then for
  Massachusetts Attorney General Jim Shannon, and
  as an executive assistant to the project director for the
  Central Artery Tunnel Project, thelargest public works
  project in the country.

  Ms. Devereaux has also served as President and Executive
  Director of a not-for-profit literacy and computer
  technology program in a federally subsidized housing
  development in the City of Boston. At the Law Firm,
  of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Joan provided strategic planning
  for clients who had issues before local, state and federal
  agencies Originally from Rhode Island, Joan worked on the
  campaigns of Governor J. Joseph Garrahy and Attorney
  General Dennis Roberts.

Steve Cremer is a retired Physics teacher from Braintree High School. He was integral in piloting a Robotics class in 7th grade at South Middle School. Due to budget cuts, this program only lasted 1 year. Steve is a key mentor for PIP. His extraordinary experiences and knowledge of math, science and technology has helped create an award winning robotics program for PIP. Steve is also the Director of Vex Robotics for FIRST (For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). Bill is a 6th grade science teacher at East Middle School. He helped pilot PIP’s 1st robotics competition team at East. He attended a robotics training week at Tuft’s University’s Center for Engineering Educational Outreach Program, courtesy of PIP. Bill and his science teacher colleagues at East Middle, developed a “Tech Treck” program to introduce students to engineering concepts during the school day. This will be a standard in the middle schools that will address the Science Technology Frameworks. Greg joined PIP’s Robotics program in 2005. Greg and Diane Lutz have been PIP parent volunteer supporters for many years. Greg is a talented computer programmer. He mentored our Vex Robotics high school team and built a competition arena for the team to practice in. He accompanied the Vex team to Atlanta, Georgia. Greg also developed a website hosted by his company, GPVillage, for the Vex team at www.gpvillage.com/vex.; Lynn is a biology teacher at the high school. She was the 2005 Vex Robotics teacher advisor, mentor and helped in fundraising. Lynn escorted the team to the FIRST New England Regional Tournament in Connecticut, where our team, Sigma Force, captured 2nd place. This accomplishment lead to a trip to Atlanta, Georgia for the FIRST World Champonships.
Steven Cremer
Stephanie has supported PIP for many years. She is a parent volunteer coordinator for the South Middle School Robotics teams, donates to our silent auction fundraisers and is PIP's official massage therapist to our Boston Marathon Team. Visit Stephanie at South Shore Massage Therapy in South Weymouth. Pete is PIP's technical coordinator who takes care of our donated laptop computers and advises PIP on technical issues. He also teaches robotics at the middle school and high school levels. Pete is a young adult mentor to many of our students. Mr. Peterson travels to Atlanta, Georgia each year to accompany our Vex Robotics high school team. Pete is a graduate of Braintree High School and looks to a career in nanotechnology. Mark is a dedicated PIP parent volunteer who has been involved with many facets of PIP programs and fundraising. He coached our pilot robotics competition team at South Middle School. He also teaches PIP’s Rockin’ Robotics program in the elementary schools. Mr. Troy has also documented our many robotics competitions and classroom work in picture and DVD form.
